Acquired Immunodeficiancy Syndrome is a virus, caused by vaginal, anal, or oral sex without using a condom, sharing needles to inject things (such as drugs, vitamines, steroids, hormones or medicines). Its a disease that is passed from person to person. Sex and drugs are the main cause of AIDS.While living your normal life you may not know that your T-cells or white blood cells, are being destroyed, when your body loses more than 500 T-cells the doctor prescribes a medicine called Azithymidine or AZT for short( Paula Mc Guire 2006). If you are infected with AIDS then you problably suffer from one or more of these diseases, lung diseases, cancer, tuberculosis, fungal infections, and lesions. (LeeAnne Gellety 2008)

AIDS is a deadly disease found mostly near the central and horn of Africa. AIDS effects your Immune System wich is a system that helps protect you against very harmful disease(world encyclopedia books 2006).There are about 1.5 million people living with AIDS in Ethiopia, and 120,000 people that have already died from AIDS. Right now while you are reading this someone is being diagnosed with AIDS. More than 7 million people in the world have already died from this disease or are still living currently with the disease. However, about 85% of all people living in the rural parts of Africa cannot afford or simply choose not to, get themselves checked out.
